I am a reader. I always have been. I love books. But I’m very discerning. I hate bad writing. In fact, I can read and enjoy just about anything if it is well written. So, in an effort to save you time and money, I offer concise, right to the point recommendations of the hottest new titles. I don’t retell the story and don’t give away the end, but I will tell you if I think a book is worth your time. If you sensibilities are like mine, you need never wonder if you’ll like a book again.

The Diva Reads is a book recommendation site. We are not affiliated with any writer, publisher or book marketing organization, nor do we receive money to recommend a book. This is more a labor of love. We provide evaluations and recommendations based on story, quality of writing, and mostly, try to answer a few basic questions. Was it good? Should I buy it?

Each book was actually read – cover to cover (unless otherwise indicated) and is rated on a scale of 1 to 5. Books are chosen based on personal taste, so if your taste is like ours, you’ll love The Diva Reads. We read new and classic fiction, crime and mystery, historical novels, sci fi, a variety of non-fiction and occasionally a particularly fascinating piece of investigative reporting.

This site has been a long time in the making, and it continues to be a work in progress. Reviews are added weekly and our database continues to grow.
